Art is meant to provoke creativity, not forged through rigid rules, but to be creative we need to be in a state of play and to be in a state of play means you need to feel safe. This workshop will be held outdoors in a local public garden, where we will wander the park to get inspired by the structure, texture, and colors of spring flowers before settling down for nature-inspired art therapy.

We will be using gouache on watercolor paper, reviewing brush stroke techniques and how to approach drawing what inspires you.

All art supplies will be provided. Participants should bring a blanket or camping chair to sit on.

Jon, did a top notch studio photography session! I appreciated his coaching us where he encouraged us to jump right in with our new found knowledge. He even took the class to a higher level by arranging for us to do a photo shoot with a real model. For me this was money well spent! I highly recommend to anyone who is interested in using a flash and interested in studio and Portrait photography to definitely take this class with Jon. It will be the smartest investment in obtaining valuable hands on photography experience! Thanks Jon!

I was walking home with my partner and walked past this beauty. I turned to her and said " I wish I had my camera! ". Luckily we lived just down the road from it, so I went home to grab my camera and ran back t get the shots, hoping the car was still there. For the people that wonder about gear, This was taken with a budget Canon M50ii and a 22mm f2 prime. To me that means that spending thousands on DSLR won't just get you amazing images, it's about the person behind the camera.

I enjoyed a photowalk event with Laurie Gallant and the Sacramento Photography group visiting Horton's Iris Farm. I always bring my Infrared camera with me in hopes of getting some good IR shots. When I saw the old red truck, I HAD to shoot it in IR! This is one of my favorite shots from that day and will go into my portfolio for sure!

I was on holiday in Sydney and I went to Circular Quay to take some night time photos, when I saw that the opera house was lit up. I took a couple of photos ,then went to change my lens.By the time I had done this I saw the lights on the opera house had gone out. I then realised it was a rehearsal for Vivid a Sydney winter light show which takes place around the harbour.
